INSTRUCTOR TRAINING
Pure Pilates is the only Authorized Training Center along the Gulf Coast. We have offered the Balanced Body Education® Pilates Teacher Training Program since 2014, and have worked with apprentices from around the world.
We welcome all students interested in committing themselves to a Pilates practice and the Balanced Body Education® curriculum.
The Balanced Body Pilates Teacher Training Program is designed to create thoughtful, creative, and successful Pilates teachers. Its curriculum emphasizes the principles underlying each exercise, and Master Educators focus on the "why" behind each exercise. Balanced Body manuals are considered to be the best in the industry, and are an in-depth study of the Pilates movement principles, anatomy, and considerations for special populations. The training is modular and progressive, allowing students to build on their education and train in a way that suits their unique training goals, budget, and timeline. Modules are taught throughout the year, and an early registration discount is offered for those who register 10+ days before a module takes place.
New apprentices are required to take Movement Principles prior to Mat I or Reformer I. As part of the certification process, Pilates apprentices are also required to have a 16-hour anatomy training. Balanced Body recommends Anatomy in 3D as an informative and interactive way to complete this portion of the certification, which we offer every November.
Balanced Body training modules are approved by the Pilates Method Alliance, NCPT, ACE, AFAA, and NASM. Physical Therapists may also be able to use Balanced Body training for CEU credit; those interested should contact their state licensing board for instructions on how to transfer the credit hours.
